Introduction
Scan to JOIN lets users join video meetings from a smartphone by scanning a QR code and selecting the meeting. It works with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet, and removes the need to enter long URIs or navigate complex menus. This guide covers usage and in-meeting features.
Step-By-Step:

Wake the Video Conferencing Device
Make sure your SIP video conferencing system is powered on and ready.

Initiate a Call Manually
- Press the Call button
- In the input field, dial: go@joingw.com or your company's fixed number: go.xx1234@joingw.com
- Select the URI and press Call.
- Press the Call button

Scan the QR Code
- A QR code will appear on the main screen (not on the touch panel or control screen).
- On some devices, the panel and the screen is on the same device, on these devices, the qr code will appear on the same screen as the panel
- Open the camera app on your smartphone and scan the QR code.

Follow the Link on Your Phone
- Tap the link that appears on your phone after scanning.
- You may be prompted to sign in with your Microsoft 365 account.

Select the Meeting

You'll be taken to a Synergy SKY GO page showing your upcoming meetings, from your personal calender.
- Tap the meeting you want to join.
- If it’s not the correct one, swipe left or right to scroll through other upcoming meetings.

Join the Meeting
- Once you've selected the correct meeting, tap Join Meeting.
- Your video conferencing system will automatically connect you to the call.
In-Call Interactions & Controls
Once you're in the meeting, use the following features for interaction:
- Quick Reactions – Tap on Heart, Smiley, Thumbs Up, or Applause for instant visual feedback.

Raise Hand – Tap the hand icon to raise or lower your hand.
(It will briefly appear in the top-right on your screen, but others will see it until you toggle it off.) - Chat – Access the meeting chat to messages.
- People – View the current list of attendees.
- Layout Controls – Use the arrows beside the layout icon to cycle through available video layouts.
- Captions – Enable automatic live captions for greater accessibility.
Quick Tip
- Add the GO URI to favourites on your video conferencing device for even quicker access
- If you have a cisco device, you could see this tutorial to implement a custom "GO" button which directly calls the URI
- To take control of a meeting that is already started you may scan the QR-code in the top left of the screen. This will take you directly into meeting control via phone.
