This article explains the functions of our various macros and how to enable them within your deployment.
Prerequisite for all macros
Before any macros are enabled on your Cisco endpoint. You need to make sure that they are enabled per device. This is done within "Settings" and is shown below. Both "Mode" and "AutoStart" should be set to "On".
Join by ID
Why do you want it?
The Join by ID macro allows user to join CONNECT meetings (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet) by typing in the meeting ID, found within the booking in their calendar. This is mostly used when the meeting was not able to be joined from the originally scheduled room, or there was no room invited at all. This gives a way to join meetings on an adhoc basis.
Trueview Engage
Why do you want it?
The Trueview Engage macro allows users to interact with their CONNECT call from the Cisco Endpoint. There are various commands that can be sent to the meeting. For example; "Raise hand", "Change Layout" and "React with Emoji". This gives a more native experience to the web meeting environments. (Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google)
Synergy GO
Why do you want it?
Synergy GO allows users to dial CONNECT directly. Then following the on-screen instructions, they will scan a (unique/one-time) QR code on the display then select a meeting to join from their own calendar from their smartphone. This does not require any meeting to have been processed by Synergy SKY Management SUITE. The Synergy GO macro creates a button on the Cisco Endpoint touchpanel to dial this static number to make it easier for any user to join without any prior training required.
